contacting potential business partners? |

Call the telephone and fax

they are genuine.
Check with the registrar of business in the country or territory
that the other party claims to be from, to insure that the business
is legitimate and licensed to operate.

your requirements.
Pay for a sample before purchasing in bulk.
Do business with KnittingWeb paid advertisers such as Gold Suppliers
(designated on KnittingWeb by special logos), and featured buyers,

urgently, more caution should be given to the transaction.

How safe is trading on KnittingWeb? |
Top |
|
| In www.KnittingWeb.com you
can encounter two categories of KnittingWeb members: free members
and paid members (such as Gold Suppliers). With our paid members,
KnittingWeb endeavors to provide transparency about the identity
and legitimacy of your trading partner. However, as a business person
you can appreciate that honest disputes happen between legitimate
companies and this is a fact of business life, whether you find
your trading partner on the internet or not. KnittingWeb cannot
guarantee the quality of products or services provided by each supplier.

How to protect your KnittingWeb account
from fake email? |
Top |
|
Be cautious of emails that
ask you to submit personal information such as your KnittingWeb
member ID or password. Some members reported that persons not related
to KnittingWeb tried to pose themselves as KnittingWeb representatives
and sent emails to our members. These messages typically request
KnittingWeb members to re-enter their member ID and Password through
return email or a web site, which purports to be the KnittingWeb
site. The request was made under the pretense that the member's
KnittingWeb account may be deactivated (or other similar situation)
if they do not re-enter their KnittingWeb ID and Password. Through
this ploy, the perpetrators attempted to hijack private and confidential
information from KnittingWeb members.
KnittingWeb is committed to keeping trading on the Internet as safe
as possible. However, there are occasional situations where people
with intent to defraud others invade the Internet. We believe that
it is our duty to alert you of possible tricks employed by fraudsters
to obtain confidential information from you.
Please be assured that, as long as you do not give out your KnittingWeb
ID and Password to unauthorized persons, your KnittingWeb account
is secure and safe. KnittingWeb personnel will never ask you for
your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited
email. If we request information from you, we will always direct
you back to the KnittingWeb site.
KnittingWeb pages that ask you to provide your member ID and password
can be identified by the address in the Address/Location area of
your web browser. Most KnittingWeb sign-in pages can be identified
by addresses that begin with "http://www.KnittingWeb.com/".
